Business-training: do we need it?

Today the entrepreneur understands very well that highly qualified personnel is a weighty competitive advantage. The stimulus to appearing the training service at the Ukrainian labour market was given by foreign companies, which differ by their worked-out management system, active forming inner corporate culture, understanding training necessity, the experience of the cooperation with training and consulting companies.

The most important thing, dear sirs entrepreneurs, is preferable to remember: trainings are not the pills, after which the sales volumes start to grow abruptly. Training is the part of the common strategy of the firm development, intensive form of the teaching, which combines short theoretical seminars, workshops and practical work-off during a short period of time.

Trainings are divided into the categories: personality-oriented and business-trainings.

As a rule, qualified psychologists and psychotherapists, who know well the peculiarities of the authority's personality or his/her employees, conduct personality-oriented trainings. We can refer "a training of the personality's development" to such trainings. If you as an authority are attracted by the deep changes of your employees personalities with the usage of modern psychotherapeutical methods, if you want to understand yourself as an authority, your personality qualities, which influence the process of your firm management, these trainings are exactly for you. They are expensive enough, but deep theoretical knowledge in the question of the personality cognition must not be cheap and easy available.

Business-trainings are divided into trainings, which develop business qualities, and specialized trainings. To specialized trainings we refer training on the methods of effective sales, merchandising, logistics, project management. In the whole the cost of the modest training, which is conducted in Kiev, is about $200 for each participant. Kiev trainers, who work in our region, taking into account our peculiarity, as a rule, work within $70-100. Our Moscow colleagues have the same prices in our region.

While making a decision, try to analyze several important issues:

  1. define the goals, you want gain by taining conduct;
  2. define the time of the training conduct, taking into account seasons, dynamics of the sales growth, introduction of new trade marks, demands of the firm structural development;
  3. read the opinions of the customers, who used the services of the training company, with which you would like to cooperate;
  4. read the training program, make yourself sure that it can be changed in the accordance with your firm activity peculiarities;
  5. define indications, which you will use while evaluating the training success;
  6. have a talk with a trainer and make your own opinion about him/her.

At last, the most important thing. Having paid the money, find the possibility to be present at this training yourself: you should know, with which new skills and knowledge your employees experience has been enriched during this training, a bit later plan with your employees the discussion of this experience and skills usage results.
